Empties & speedy reviews #23 featuring Pixi, Estée Lauder, Clarins Sarah Chapman, Nivea, Perricone MD & more!

Every time my "empties bag" is full, I am really surprised that I've finished so many products again. I used to have half-full bottles and tubes scattered around my bathroom and bedroom because I just moved on to new products! I'm a changed woman (kinda!). I also love doing these posts so that I can refer back to them to check my thoughts on products if I am looking to change my routine up. I have a good variety of products here today, so let's get started!

Skincare:

Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist: I love this facial mist. It is refreshing, soothing and hydrating and is perfect for my dry/dehydrated skin. I have already repurchased.

Perricone MD Hyalo Plasma: I bought this is the Space NK after Christmas when it was reduced to £25 from £110. It has a strange texture - a jelly/cream/gel hybrid. It is packed with three forms of hyaluronic acid, so I was very excited to use it and had high expectations. I was quite disappointed by this product and there is no way that I would pay full price for it. My skin looked a little plumper but I didn't like the feeling of it on my skin and a few hours after application, my skin would feel dry again. I used it in conjunction with oils/serums to up the hydration but I wouldn't repurchase.

Estée Lauder Hydrationist: I absolutely adore this moisturiser - it is perfect for my dry and dehydrated skin. It keeps my skin soft, plump and comfortable. This is my second jar of this cream and I will definitely repurchase.

Estée Lauder Idealist Cooling Eye Illuminator: I like this product a lot because the metal tip is cooling on the skin, which makes it perfect for reducing any puffiness. It also has a highlighting effect to it as well as moisturising the under eye area so an all-round winner for me but the bad news is that this has been discontinued! I hate when that happens!

Sarah Chapman Skinesis Morning Facial: I adore this product! It is a serum-oil that really hydrates and plumps the skin and provides the ideal base for make-up if you have dry skin and leaves the skin looking very radiant on non-makeup days. My only qualm is that it only contains 15ml and is priced at €60! The 15ml goes a long way because only 2 drops are needed for the full face/neck area. I will repurchase at some point.

Murad Essential C Day Moisture Cream: This sachet sample was enough for me to know that I wouldn't purchase a full size of this cream. It wasn't moisturising enough for my skin.

Haircare:

Wella System Professional Repair Shampoo: I bought this around 10 months ago so it was good value. I really like this shampoo - it suits my dry and damaged hair, it has a beautiful scent and a small amount goes a long way. I have some other shampoos to use first but then I will repurchase.

Sachajuan Hair Repair: I really, really like this hair mask. My hair feels soft, strong and manageable when I use it. I have tried a few products from this brand and would love to explore it further because I love everything I have tried so far. I will repurchase this.

Hask Monoi Oil Mask Sachet: I really like this mask - it felt very nourishing and moisturising and my hair had a great shine when I used this product. I will repurchase at some point.

Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine Spray: I used this as a finishing spray to add some shine to my hair and only the finest spray was needed to leave my hair looking glossy. This 50ml bottle has lasted me for around a year, so it's pretty good value. I have some other shine sprays to use up but when I do, I will repurchase this.

Bodycare:

E45 Moisturising Lotion: My skin was very dry as a result of open fires, central heating, hot water bottles and my electric blanket (what can I say, I'm a cold creature!) so I bought this because I know from past experience that it really sorts my skin out when it gets very dry. It is a light lotion but moisturises well and absorbs quickly. I will repurchase at some point.

Nivea Express Hydration Body Lotion: I always have a bottle of Nivea body lotion on the go - they are my favourite budget beauty brand. This body lotion is non-sticky, non-greasy, absorbs quickly and moisturises well. I have already repurchased.

Margaret Dabbs Intensive Hydrating Hand Lotion: I absolutely love the foot scrub and foot lotion from this range - they are amongst the best I've ever tried so I had high hopes for this hand lotion but it didn't live up to expectations. I found it quite thick and not particularly moisturising. I won't repurchase.

Garnier Oil Beauty Nourishing Scrub: This is my favourite budget body scrub - it is quite gritty but because of the oils, it doesn't rip the skin and doesn't feel too harsh. It leaves my skin very soft and it smells beautiful due to the oils in it. I have repurchased this several times and will again.

Clarins Hand & Nail Treatment Cream: This is one of my favourite hand creams ever - it is moisturising, non-greasy and absorbs quickly, It also has a delicate scent, which I love. I have used many, many tubes of this and I will definitely repurchase.

Lanolips Antibacterial Hand Cream: I received this as a free gift when I purchased the Lanolips lip balm mentioned below and whilst I enjoyed using it, it isn't my favourite hand cream. Given that there are other hand creams that I prefer, I won't repurchase.

Miscellaneous:

Lanolips Lemonaid Lip Aid: I'll keep this short - this is simply the best lip balm EVER! It puts Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask to shame! I have already repurchased.

Calvin Klein Escape: I have loved this perfume for years and I think it was my first high end perfume back in the day. It's musky, fruity and sexy and very long lasting. I adore this perfume and will repurchase in the future.

Cutex Nourishing Nail Polish Remover: I have gone through so many bottles of this nail polish remover - it is inexpensive and does the job very well. I have already repurchased.

I now have an empty 'empties' bag and it feels good! Have you tried any of these products? I'd love to hear your thoughts on them! What have you finished up recently? Please tell me in the comments below!
