Empties & speedy reviews #22 featuring Omorovicza, Nars, Clinique, Nivea, No7 and more!

It really doesn't seem that long since my last empties post but my "empties bag" is full again so here goes! I have a good mixture of skincare, body and hair care and a few miscellaneous products in here so let's get cracking!

Bodycare:

Lauren's Way Self-Tan Bronzing Lotion: This is probably my third bottle of this fake tan and I really like it. It is impossible to get streaks when using this product and it fades very evenly. I find that the colour lasts for around a week and although it is described as dark, it gives quite a natural tan - as though you've been on holiday for a week rather than a month! It also doesn't have that horrible biscuit smell that some tans have and actually smells quite nice and fresh! I will repurchase when I've used up some other tans that I have.

St Tropez Self-Tan Bronzing Lotion: For around 5 years, this was the only fake tan that I used and then curiosity got the better of me and I started to buy other brands so when I received this for Christmas, I was hoping that I would love it as much as I used to. I actually loved it more than I had remembered because I think it smells a lot better these days. This is a brilliant tan. It gives a very even, golden tan - there is absolutely no hint of orange and it is really long-lasting (7-10 days). It is also streak-proof and very quick and easy to apply. I fell back in love with this again and am delighted that I have another bottle already!

Nivea Q10 firming body lotion: Another month, another Nivea body lotion! I love Nivea body products and always have one on the go. I love this because it absorbs quickly and really moisturises my skin without leaving it greasy. This will be forever repurchased!

Elemental Herbology Bath and Shower Oils: I bought this set in the post-Christmas sales when it was half price (£17.50). I got roughly two baths out of each oil and each oil represented a different element with individual properties: Earth (Balance), Wood (Rejuvenation), Water (Soothe) and Metal (Detox). I liked the scent of all of these but I certainly didn't feel more balanced/rejuvenated etc after using each one so I'm glad I got the set at half price. I had a similar set last year from Aromatherapy Associates, which I preferred so if I were to buy a full sized bottle of bath oil, it would be from that brand rather than any of these.

Skincare:

Elemis Pro-Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm: This is a very beautiful product - I used it both as a primer and as a moisturiser and loved it equally both ways. It has a very fresh scent and is extremely moisturising, so I would highly recommend it to those with dry skin. It instantly brightens the complexion but doesn't look greasy. Although it is quite expensive, only a small amount is required and on non-make-up days, it helped to make my skin look radiant but it also worked really well under my foundation. I will repurchase in the future.

Clinique Smart Custom Eye Treatment: I absolutely love Clinique Smart Custom Serum, which is pretty revolutionary because it is for all skin types and adapts to your skin's needs so when I saw that an eye version was released, I purchased it immediately. I really love this eye cream - it is extremely lightweight - more the texture of a serum than a cream and it absorbs very quickly. This definitely hydrates and plumps the entire eye area and fine lines look less visible due to the hydration. I also found it quite brightening too. I will definitely repurchase.

Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm: I think I've had a tub of this in my last three empties posts! I absolutely love this cleansing balm - it is gentle, soothing and deep cleansing without being stripping and it is also hydrating. This removes all eye make-up so easily without the need for any tugging and is an all round brilliant cleansing balm. The only con is the price - it is expensive and I seem to fly through the 50ml tubs but I know that I will definitely repurchase.

No7 Beautiful Skin Eye Make-up Remover: This is probably my all time favourite eye make-up remover and I always stock up when the No7 vouchers are floating around. It is gentle, yet extremely effective and isn't too greasy in the way that some bi-phase removers are. This will be forever repurchased.

Haircare:

Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque: This is my all time favourite hair mask! I love how it deeply nourishes my hair and leaves it soft, shiny and strong. It doesn't weigh the hair down or leave it feeling greasy at all. I would highly recommend this to anybody with dry or damaged hair. This large tub lasted me for around 9 months and I pretty much use it every time I was my hair. I have a few other masks on the go at the moment, but once they are finished, I will definitely repurchase this.

Charles Worthington Salon At Home Intense Rescue Melting Balm: This is a pre-wash hair treatment. It is a solid balm and you take a small amount and melt in in your hands before applying to the lengths of the hair for a minimum of 20 minutes but the longer the better. I have had this for a while and only recently started to use it again and found that I had forgotten just how much I loved it. My hair feels very bouncy and weightless when I use this and also soft and hydrated due to the blend of seven oils in it. I will definitely repurchase.

Make-up:

Nars Orgasm blush: This is the only blush that I have ever hit pan on so that speaks volumes on my love for this blush. The peachy pink shade has a little bit of golden shimmer and I find that it really lifts my whole complexion and makes me look healthier (I need all the help I can get in that department!).  Although I have more blushes than I could ever need, I will definitely repurchase this!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer: I have this concealer for a few years so it's time that I binned it! So many people rave about this concealer and whilst it gives good coverage, I personally don't like it because it is far too drying on my skin and just looked cakey. For that reason, I won't repurchase.

Miscellaneous:

Cerruti 1881 Eau De Toilette: I have worn this for years and years and have gone though at least 20 bottles of it. It was my wedding day scent and my husband's favourite perfume on me. It is woody and lightly floral at the same time and is appropriate for both day and night and in all seasons. I am always complimented when I wear this scent. This will be forever repurchased because it is 'my' scent!

Samples: Verso Day Cream: I received this sample with a Cult Beauty order and I absolutely loved it. It is absolutely perfect for my dry skin. A full size bottle is £85 so I'm not exactly rushing out to buy it but can't say that I never will.  MV Organics Rose Soothing Protective Moisturiser: This was quite a generous sample and I got four uses out of it but I am not a fan. It was far too heavy and matte for my liking. I felt that I really had to rub it in to be sure it wasn't just sitting on my skin. I'm delighted to have tried this because I thought I would love it so this has prevented an expensive mistake! That's the brilliant thing about Cult Beauty samples - they sell mainly expensive products so it's nice to be able to try before buying.
