As with all beauty addicts out there, I have a Charlotte Tilbury wishlist as long as my arm! I'm not a great fan of her skincare range but I have fallen in love with all of her make-up items that I've bought. When I saw that she was releasing two new lipsticks, I knew I would have to get at least one of them but ended up buying both because I couldn't choose between them! They have been released in time for Valentine's Day and are based around a First Date look and a Hot Date look. The names of both lipsticks were chosen by fans of the brand: Between The Sheets and Kiss Chase.
The top lipstick in the photo above is Between The Sheets from the Matte Revolution range and this is the one suggested for use on a first date. I own one other lipstick from the Matte Revolution range and I love how creamy they are, despite being matte. They are extremely comfortable, very pigmented and last a long time before they need re-applying. It is a rose pink shade, but much lighter when swatched than it appears in the bullet (it is the bottom swatch in the photo below). It has a very slight hint of coral to it, rather than being a true pink. If you like MAC Please Me, you will also like Between The Sheets as it is very similar but a little lighter in colour. I think this is the perfect daytime lip colour and looks really nice with dewy skin and a neutral eye.
Next up is Kiss Chase, which is from the K.I.S.S.I.N.G range. These lipsticks are really hydrating & creamy but not too slippy, extremely pigmented and last a good 3/4 hours before they need topping up. From the top swatch in the photo above, you can see that this is a beautiful berry toned pink - it is actually quite similar to MAC Plumful but a little pinkier and slightly less mauve than MAC Mehr. This is suggested as the Hot Date lipstick, but I think that I will be wearing it during the day too because it isn't too in your face.
Overall, I am really delighted with both of these lipsticks because they are flattering colours and will go with most looks. Whilst I have similar lipsticks in my collection, none are exactly the same as these so I will definitely get lots of use out of them both.
They are priced at £23 or €30 each but you can buy both together for £42 or €55. They would make the perfect Valentine's Day gift so maybe drop a few hints or leave this page open on your other half's laptop/phone/ipad and they might just get the hint! ;-)
Which Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks are your favourites? Are you tempted by these? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
