I have quite a large make-up collection, which means that lots of products can be neglected at times - I only have one face after all! I've decided that I need to start dipping into my stash to get proper use out of my collection rather than just adding and adding to it! I review my collection every 6 months and give any products that I no longer want or use to my sister in law's nieces but there are some products that I just can't part with and have decided that I need to use them more often. Today I am going to share the first instalment of my rediscoveries with you and tell you why I can't part with them!
First up is the only MAC lipstick that I have ever repurchased and no doubt will again when I finish this one: Creme Cup. This is from the cremesheen range of lipsticks, which are my favourites because they are creamy (as the name suggests) and very comfortable on the lips. This is my perfect pink/nude lipstick and is a great everyday lip colour to go with most eye looks. I love the vanilla scent that MAC lipsticks have!
Naked 2 is a palette that I lusted after for a long time before I bought it. I much prefer the packaging of this palette to the original Naked palette (worst packaging ever although a beautiful colour selection!). It comes with a double-ended brush, which is pretty decent quality. It contains a mixture of mattes and shimmers and is more cool-toned than the original - quite greige in tone overall with a perfect black shadow too. The pigmentation is excellent - as is expected with Urban Decay and the shadows are all very wearable - my favourites are YDK, Pistol, Snakebite and Suspect. I am really glad that I've taken this out and starting using it again because it is too beautiful to be left unloved and I definitely couldn't part with it.
Finally, I have Benefit Moon Beam, which has sadly been discontinued. This was released as a warm alternative to High Beam, which is quite pink/silver in tone. This was my first liquid highlighter and I went through 3 bottles of this prior to buying this one. It gives a very beautiful iridescent sheen that is so flattering on the skin because it isn't at all glittery and is so easy to apply, without disturbing my foundation. I wore this on my wedding day so it brings back very happy memories too!
I am delighted to be using these products again and I love them as much now as I did when I first purchased them. Do you "shop your stash" often? I'd love to hear what your favourite rediscoveries have been? Please tell me in the comments below!
