Empties & speedy reviews #21 featuring Omorovicza, Aurelia, Sarah Chapman, Clarins, Clinique, This Works & more!

Empties & speedy reviews are some of the most read posts on my blog & I really enjoy writing them, so win/win! They also are a great reference point for me if I am thinking of repurchasing something because I don't think I've thrown anything out without blogging about it since starting this blog in July 2014, so I can always look back over the posts if I need to. I have a mixture of body and skincare and a few miscellaneous products thrown in today and there are lots of my favourites in here. Let's get started!

Skincare:

Dermalogica Gentle Cream Exfoliant: This had been opened for too long so I have to bin it. This is a gentle exfoliator for sensitive skin and it is in the form of a mask, so whilst being a physical exfoliator, it is not harsh at all. I have found other products that I prefer more, so I won't be repurchasing but for those with extremely sensitive skin, I would recommend.

Sarah Chapman Intense Hydrating Booster: Oh how I love this product and oh how I almost cried when I let it fall into a full bath with the lid off!! This is a truly beautiful hydrating serum - it is non-greasy and the effects are long-lasting. I use it before I apply my moisturiser and my skin is left soft, bouncy, hydrated and comfortable. Read more here, here and here. I have already repurchased & will continue to do so.

Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist: This was a 50ml bottle and it was a good way to try it without spending too much. I really, really love this facial mist - it is soothing, refreshing and hydrating. It has a fine spray, which I love. Read more here, here and here. At the moment, I don't need to repurchase because I have a few other hydrating sprays in my collection but I would love to repurchase at some point in the future if I'm feeling particularly spendy!

Aurelia Probiotic Skincare Cell Repair Night Oil: I really loved this oil - the scent is absolutely beautiful (neroli, rose, lavender and mandarin) and it sinks in immediately, which I love - nothing worse than oil on your pillowcase! I love that it's a 50ml bottle because most oils only come in 30ml bottles. Read more here. At the moment, I have a few oils in my collection so don't need to repurchase but think I will in the future.

GLAMGLOW YouthMud: This is my second or third tub of this mud mask - it is very exfoliating and really brightens the skin. It tingles a little but nothing too unmanageable. I really like this mask but since discovering Oskia Renaissance Mask, which I prefer because it does everything I need it to, I don't have a need to repurchase this mask.

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Cream: I really like the Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion + so I expected to really love this cream version but it just wasn't moisturising enough for my very dry skin. I think it would work best for those with normal skin. I won't be repurchasing.

Samples: Sunday Riley Good Genes - I got three uses out of this sachet and that it obviously too soon to form a full opinion but it certainly hasn't put me off the idea of buying a bottle. I found that it tingled a little but but I didn't have an adverse reaction and my skin looked a little brighter the mornings after I used it. I plan on buying a full bottle at some point this year.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Night Cream: I don't have the best track record with Charlotte Tilbury skincare products (see here and here), in fact, I find them to be anything but magical! This is a very sticky night cream, which I dis-like because I don't like feeling as though I will stock to the pillow or that my hair will stick to my face. It reminded me of a castor oil product that my Granda used to have years ago! My skin didn't look or feel any better the next morning so I wouldn't be keen on purchasing the full size tub, especially as it is priced at €120!

Charlotte Tilbury Goddess Skin Clay Mask: I have wanted to try this for a long time and quite enjoyed using it. My skin was quite plump and fresh after using it. I have a lot of masks in my collection at the moment, so don't need a new one but would consider purchasing this at some point.

Bodycare:

Lucy Annabella Graceful Bath Milk: This is an Irish brand and it is totally organic. It is also very expensive - €59 for 125ml so definitely not something I could use daily at that price. I really like the scent of this product and love the philosophy behind the brand and I think the products would make really nice gifts, but I personally couldn't justify repurchasing at that price.

Margaret Dabbs Foot Mousse: This is a really brilliant foot scrub - it is creamy, yet gritty and leaves the skin on my feet feeling very soft. Definitely the best foot scrub I have ever used and I will repurchase.

Clarins Hand & Nail Treatment Cream: This is one of my favourite hand creams ever. It is very moisturising but it is non-greasy and absorbs immediately. I always buy these when I am in the airport because they are priced at €11/€12. I will forever repurchase this hand cream.

Nivea Firming Body Lotion: I always have a Nivea body lotion on the go and really rate them highly. This one is very moisturising and absorbs quickly so there's no waiting around to get dressed! I have used Nivea body lotions for years and will forever repurchase.

Soap & Glory Body Butters: Smoothie Star and Butter Yourself. I love Soap & Glory body butters, in general and Butter Yourself is one of my favourites - it is very fresh smelling, which I love. Smoothie Star can seem very strong & over-powering initially and when I first opened the tub, I wasn't sure that I would like it but the scent settles a little once applied. It reminds me of Jo Malone's Pistachio body cream, but a lot cheaper! I will repurchase when they are on offer in Boots.

Haircare:

John Frieda Frizz Ease Daily Miracle Treatment: This is a very affordable leave in conditioner and I really like it but having used the whole bottle, I don't think it's quite as moisturising as others I have used. For the price, it is a good product and helps to detangle the hair without weighing it down, so I probably will repurchase at some point, but I have another leave in conditioner on the go at the moment.

Pureology Strength Cure Conditioner: I really like this conditioner - it is very moisturising and my hair felt very soft and strong after using it. I would highly recommend it to anybody with damaged hair who wants strong, soft, sleek hair. I will repurchase when I finish some other conditioners that I have on the go at the minute.

Miscellaneous:

Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask: This is as expensive lip product but I bought it last year after reading so many rave reviews about it and initially, I loved it. I really disliked how difficult it was to get out of the tube - I had to put it sitting on the radiator for a few minutes to warm it up and soften it, which is a pain! Towards the end of last year, my lips became really chapped and sore - it was even painful to smile! I thought that this mask would do the trick and put a thick layer on each night and sometimes during the day, but it just didn't cut it. I ended up buying a tube of Lanolips and it has out-performed this lip mask by far. I'm not sure if it's just a case that your lips get used to a product & it needs to be changed regularly, but either way, I won't repurchase this.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz: This was my favourite eyebrow product - until now! I bought the Brow Definer recently and it has blown me away! The Brow Wiz is perfect for filling in any gaps because the nib is so fine, it mimics the look of the hair. It's pretty much foolproof.

This Works Sleep Plus Pillow Spray: I absolutely love this product - it really helps me not just to fall asleep but to sleep right through - I used to have broken sleep but that has changed since I started using this product. I would highly recommend it to anybody who has problems sleeping. I received a back up for Christmas & this will be forever repurchased.
