You know me & skincare - I just can't resist trying new things in my quest for healthy, radiant skin! At the moment, I am on a number of medications for Chronic Lyme Disease and one of them is also used to treat acne (which I don't have) and as a result, my skin is extra dry and also dehydrated. I will be on these meds for quite a while so thought I should introduce some new products into my skincare routine in an effort to combat the dryness because I find that my make-up isn't sitting quite right at the moment and my skin just feels uncomfortable and looks a bit red. I am hoping that the products in this haul will help, so let's get started!
I bought two cleansers, which is probably a bit excessive considering I already have two on the go but I really wanted to try both of these and will probably use them in rotation, depending on how my skin likes them. The first one is from skyn ICELAND and it is their Pure Cloud Cleanser (£22.50). I first heard about this product when it was featured in Caroline Hirons Beauty Box in association with Cult Beauty, then I saw it on Blanche's blog and thought that if she rates it, then it is definitely worth trying so I am excited to start using it. The second cleanser is from First Aid Beauty and it is their Milk Oil Conditioning Cleanser (€22.91 in the Cloud10 Beauty Sale). I really like the sound of a milky oil-based cleanser. The oils in it include coconut oil & avocado oil, both of which I really love so I am very excited about trying this and it is said to be suitable for sensitive skin, so fingers crossed I won't have a reaction.
I picked up another bottle of Pixi Glow Tonic (£18), because although I still have plenty left in my current bottle, this is a product that I don't want to be without, especially as my skin is quite flaky at the moment.
Finally, I bought two products to include in my night-time skincare routine. The first is from REN and it is from their radiance range: Wake Wonderful Night-time Facial (currently €34 in the Cloud10 Beauty sale). I absolutely love the Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask from this range so am hoping I will love this product just as much. I also bought Alpha-H Liquid Laser with Hexapeptide Concentrate (€63). I won't lie - I totally bought this because Lisa Eldridge recommended it! I love Liquid Gold from Alpha-H so thought it was worth trying this. This products will be used probably about twice a week each, alternating with overnight masks and Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair.
I really hope that these products are agreeable with my skin and make a difference to it by adding moisture and reducing the redness and flakiness. I will report back to with reviews after I have been using them for a while & have given them a thorough testing.
I'd love to know if you have tried any of these products or if there are any products you would recommend for my skin in its current condition? Please tell me in the comments below. I welcome all recommendations!
