My top 5 nail polishes for summer!

I love having my nails painted all year round and in summer, I tend to favour bright colours. Today I am sharing my top 5 nail polishes that I have been wearing this summer. One is a very recent purchase but I love it already!

First up is a beautiful coral polish from the Morgan Taylor Cinderella range. It is called Watch your step, Sister and is a true coral and it looks beautiful in summer, especially on tanned skin. It is a really beautiful polish to apply - it is completely opaque after two coats but you could probably get away with just one. It is non-streaky, has a nice, glossy finish and lasts without chipping for about 5 days, which is pretty good going.

Next up is a polish that I bought last summer, but still love it this year. It is from the Models Own polish for tans range and it's called Beach Bag. This is a soft neon orange that really does make your skin looked tanned, even when it isn't. I adore this polish and it applies evenly and is non-streaky. I always wear two coats and it definitely needs a top coat to last about 5 days.

Next up is another Models Own polish, this time from this year's festival range. It is called Purple Bandana which is a beautiful purple and deep pink mixed through. It is a warm shade that again looks great with a tan. I have worn this on my toenails all summer and really love it. Again, it is non-streaky and is completely opaque in two coats. My most recent nail polish purchase is a beautiful deep mint polish from Essie. It is called Blossom Dandy. I adore this colour but the brush is very thin so it is difficult to get a non-streaky finish. It requires patience and two, sometimes three thin coats. The effort is worth it though because it is a beautiful colour. Without a top coat, this chips after 2/3 days but with a top coat, will last 6 days.

Finally, I have my favourite of The New White polishes from Nail Inc: Whitehall. This is a soft peachy white that is a very flattering colour whether I am ghostly pale or tanned. I adore the colour, but it is a pain to apply. Nails have to be buffed and then after a base coat, I apply two layers of the polish. It has a tendency to streak so the layers have to be very thin. It lasts well on the nails and is a beautiful colour, so it is worth the effort but not if you are in a hurry! Please tell me your favourite polishes for summer! Do you use any of the ones I've mentioned?
