REVIEW: Nuxe 24Hr Soothing and Rehydrating Fresh Mask - perfect for dehydrated skin!

My skin has been really playing up for the last 2/3 weeks. It is so, so dehydrated that I feel that I look like I have aged 10 years in a few weeks! My main areas of concern are my eyes and forehead and none of my usual hydrating treatments are working how I want them too. I think I may have a touch of hayfever too, which meant I was rubbing my eyes without even noticing I was doing it & that didn't help matters. I didn't really know what to try next and when I was looking through some of my beauty boxes for inspiration, I found this Nuxe mask, which sounded like it was exactly what I needed : soothing and rehydrating. When I read that it was also suitable for the eye contour area, I was excited to try it because I find that pads specifically for the eye are tend to be very expensive and wanted a cheaper solution.

This mask came in a Lookfantastic beauty box a few months back and I had over-looked it until now. The description says that it is quenches even the driest of skins and also soothes and discomfort, so I was really excited to try it & hopeful that it would help my skin. It is applied to clean skin and after 10 minutes, you can massage the excess into the skin or remove it with toner. I choose to massage it in because I use it either at night or during the day if it is a no make-up day. It has a really fresh scent and is not too greasy. It has the texture of a cream moisturiser, but not too heavy & above all - it does the job! This has made a world of difference to my eye area, in particular!

It definitely lives up to its name in that it is very soothing and very dehydrating. It is a lot less expensive than other masks I own, yet at the moment anyway, is performing better. Maybe my skin was just used to the other masks and need a change but I am really happy that I had this in my stash. My eye are looks brighter & plumper and my forehead is hydrated so overall I am very happy with this mask and would heartily recommend it to anybody who has skin issues like mine.

I would like to try more products from the Nuxe brand in case I am missing out on some more gems! Have you tried this mask? What is your favourite hydrating treatment?

  1. I also have this mask and it's a gem! Recently using a mask with AHA acids my skin got so irritated and burnt-like that this mask together with another product was the only thing that helped a lot to heal my skin. x
