I bought this YSL Rouge Volupte Shine lipstick a few months ago and kind of forgot about it until recently because it is more of a Spring/Summer shade & I have been wearing a lot of red/berry & dark nude lips over the Autumn/Winter.
This lipstick is in shade #13 Pink in Paris and I must admit that when it arrived, I found that it was slightly deeper than I had thought when ordering. It is still a beautiful colour though and I am happy to own it. This is my first Rouge Volupte Shine lipstick and I find that it is not as pigmented as the original Rouge Volupte lipsticks (I have #1 Nude Beige). The other difference that I have found is that this lipstick feels like a lip balm because it is so moisturising and that can only be a good thing. It also means that I don't feel the need to apply a balm beforehand. I'm looking forward to wearing this in the summer when I have a bit more colour in my cheeks as I think it will look even nicer then!
To me, this is a perfect lipstick for a low key make-up day. Obviously given the name, this gives a nice shine to the lips but without the sticky feeling that a lot of glosses do and as with all YSL lip products I have tried, it smells amazing - very sweet, which I love! Also, the packaging is stunning as with all YSL products. I think that it is my favourite beauty packaging of all brands out there! Big statement, I know but just look at how pretty it is!
Have you tried any lipsticks in this range? What shade should I try next?!
Thanks for reading.
