After my recent disaster with an awful base coat, which saw all of my nails break & chip, I decided that I needed to invest in a product to really help get my nails back on track and strengthen them again. I usually have every strong nails so to have them all short & broken was irritating me & I wanted a product that would work quickly. After doing some research, I decided on Dr LeWinn's Renunail Nail Strengthener and when I looked on Feel Unique, I found that they had the 3 step programme reduced in the sale to only £19.89 so I bought that to give my nails the Rolls Royce treatment!
The set consists of the Nail Strengthener, Sensitive Nail Strengthener in Nude & Nourishing Oil. Step 1 is applying 2 coats of the Nail Strengthener on clean nails, then 1 coat daily for 5 days and on the 7th day you remove all coats & repeat this three times. This will help to repair & strengthen your nails.
Step 2 is the Sensitive Nail Strengthener in Nude. This is used after you have strengthened your nails to maintain them, It is used in the same way as Step 1, but for a shorter period & can also be used as a top coat to extend the staying power of your polish. I have yet to try this step.
Step 3 is the Nourishing Oil, which is massaged into the nail beds & cuticles to lock in moisture. It contains jojoba, sweet almond, olive & apricot oils for hydration & tea tree oil for its anti-bacterial properties.
So far, I have only used steps 1 and 3 and I am very pleased with the results. It has been strange not wearing any nail polish for a few weeks, but totally worth it to get my nails back on track. My nails are much stronger & are not chipping. I'm hoping that when I apply my nail polish next week, that they look even better and don't start to chip again, but will be maintaining the programme with steps 2 & 3 and will NEVER use that awful base coat again!
I think that I will probably do this programme once every few months to maintain my nails.
